Belgian lace

The thread stays black after the knots are finished. The horns curl. The wings are a bat's. The chain drops from the ring on the pedestal to the neck of the figure on each side. Roses, fleur-de-lis, and scrolls fill all four edges. XV sits in the heart at the top. The torches are flames of thread. The holes are black, so the seated body shows through the lace that makes it. Beyond that black, your wrist is already inside the ring.
