Botanical art

Open the lid of a specimen case, and a light as flat as a pressed flower fills the card. Flowers climb the border with their names still hidden. A pomegranate splits in the Empress's palm. Grapes tangle in the Devil's horns. A white rose covers the banner of Death. Each vein of each leaf is a sentence no one has read yet. Reach to recite the names, and a thin chain touches your wrist before the flower does.
