Greek sculpture
White marble holds a body's heat under the arch of a temple. The wings are folded on the back. Only the gold cloth is not stone. The chain descends from the collar to the goat on the pedestal. The two who kneel are carved from the same block. The chisel marks have been polished away, and remain only at the joints of the fingers. Touch a cheek that ought to be cold, and the stone has already learned your warmth.
