Surreal photography

Stairs continue into the sky. Beyond an arch with no door, the same stairs begin again. A gold sphere hangs without a thread. Pomegranate seeds scatter on the black floor. The light is plainly a photograph, and only the length of the shadows fails to agree. The figure in the distance sets a foot on no step at all. Walk farther in, and the chain in front stops at the height of your throat.
